Recently an estimate came out about how much money Microsoft has made from the very popular Xbox Live. Many users who have an Xbox want to experience every aspect of it, so they will purchase $50 a year to play online with friends. Bloomberg estimates 12.5 million users who pay for Xbox Live yearly so if we calculate 50X12.5000000 that is about $625 Million dollars! Dennis Durkin from Microsoft said sales of online down loadable content and extra’s have also increased the amount of money that they are making. In his statement he said that they make around $600 million dollars from “extra costs”. If we add it all up Microsoft has made over 1.2 billion dollars from just Xbox Live and download able content, the amount of consoles sold are not included in this. Recently Sony has announced PlayStation Plus which is a paid for online gaming. They are trying to also capitalize on this great way to increase their profits like Microsoft did. Frash lets Flash content run on Apple iPad

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

As you know, there’s no Flash support on Apple’s devices but that’s not going to stop users from enjoying the Flash content on their favorite device. Since there’s no official support for Flash on iPhone and iPad it’s no wonder that users are using third party solutions and hacks. Due to the disputes with Adobe, Apple has decided to launch their products without Flash support. Main reason for absence of Adobe’s Flash Player is that Flash slows down the devices and causes crashes. However, this isn’t stopping users from using of alternative solutions in order to enjoy Flash content. One solution is Frash, developed by famous hacker comex that is also responsible for Spirit untethered jailbreak tool for Apple’s mobile devices. Frash is just a port of Android’s Adobe Flash runtime with compatibility layer. Although Frash is “just a port” it still works amazing and it’s able to show all sorts of Flash content. Frash can run most of the Flash programs but only on iPad through MobileSafari web browser. So far this alternative solution works only on iPad due to the technical restrictions but we’re hoping to see update that will allow us to use this application on 3GS and on iOS 4 devices soon enough. Frash is interesting solution that will help us enjoy Flash content on our favorite devices with ease. Since there’s no official solution we’ll have to be satisfied with alternative solutions such as this. Anyway, we’re hoping to see the new version of Frash soon enough. USBCELL AA: Rechargeable USB batteries

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Today we live in time where we need to preserve our environment and energy, therefore we’re always looking for a new ways to restore power and reuse it. Many devices are using rechargeable batteries, but on the other hand, many people are still using plain disposable batteries that are harmful to our environment. Since they cannot be recharged and reused they are just thrown away and buy ones are bought. That way they are spending more money and on the other hand, they are polluting the environment, but luckily something might change soon. First rechargeable batteries have been released in 80’s and they were a huge hit back than because you could have used them more than hundred times. Over the years there have been all sorts of chargers for rechargeable batteries. The first ones were using electricity and power outlets while the latest ones are using solar power for recharging. In addition, there were all sorts of USB chargers but we have never seen USB AA rechargeable batteries, until now. USBCELL AA batteries are standard rechargeable batteries but in order to recharge them you need to remove the top of the battery and plug them into the USB port. It’s quite simple and it’s strange that nobody thought of this before. It takes about 5 hours to recharge 90% of the battery and an hour to recharge it to 50%. Overall, USBCELL AA batteries work amazing, and I’m sure that they will replace standard disposable batteries one day. iPhone 4 Diamond Edition: $20,000

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Many people have pre-ordered the iPhone 4, and have received it. Despite the iPhone 4 is now available for purchase, there is one which not everyone can or would buy, Stuart Hughes has created an iPhone 4 was diamonds all over it. The Apple logo on the back of the phone is also bedazzled. This iPhone 4 is naturally white, comes with 32GB of memory. It has been unlocked so that it can be used over all different networks world wide. The white iPhone 4 has not to be launched, and we don’t know when that will be. So this is the closest you can get to that. This Iphone 4 Diamond Edition comes with a large price tag though! The phone will cost $20,000 dollars. This is a large amount of cash just for an iPhone full of diamonds on the sides and back. If you want one though, you are free to purchase one. I personally would never get it, 20K for that seems to be a waste of money.
